What Now to Break Free in 2021?

Well, phewweeey! Ok so the reflections on the extraordinary 2020 are done and dusted, and the (limited) new year festivities over, and likely most new year’s resolutions now broken forgotten about…

So, what now?  How to break free in 2021 and make this year COUNT!

My friends – let me tell you the blessing that internet-based business has been to me and my family, and how I want it to be for you too.  I’m not the richest guy around, but I have no worries about money.  I don’t ever have to worry about paying the mortgage, or putting food on the table, whether I can pay for that vacation my wife wants or whether I can get that promotion to improve my life.

Freedom comes from 2 things:

1. Being content with what we have, as St Paul writes in Philippians 4
2. Removing the stress associated with making those ends meet.

Don’t get me wrong – I’m no multi-millionaire and don’t have money to throw around.  But I am 100% relaxed about all things financial.

But it was not always like this – before I broke through to success online, I faced the same worries, anxieties and frustrations over money-related matters that 99% of the rest of the world faces.

The change is freeing.  Period.

Freedom from the chains of money-anxiety.  It has allowed me to pursue goals and dreams outside of business, which I could not have done.  It has allowed me to teach my sons to make money in their spare time such that they paid their own way through university by generating a yearly income in their spare time that many adults don’t earn full time.

I thank God for the freedom he has given me daily.

And I want this freedom for you.  I can’t do it for you, but I hope I can nudge you in the right direction. Here are 3 essential ingredients for your success.

1.  Commitment

Guys, you don’t get back without working hard.  You need to steel yourselves and do the work.  You just cannot allow discouragement to stop you.  It saddens me, but i know discouragement will stop many of you, it’s inevitable.  But don’t be one of those.  Just do it.  Don’t stop.  Don’t give up.  Get in from your job, and sit down at your computer, and work!  I don’t care if you are tired!

2.  Know your strengths and weaknesses and act accordingly

If you are challenged with technical/computer stuff, get help.  Or anything else you struggle with.  Use Upwork of Fiverr to find people to do the things for you you cannot do yourself.  But bear in mind finding good help is itself not easy.  It takes time during the hiring process – you need to careful review those who apply and preferably interview them – and you will likely find many you hire turn out to be disappointing and you have to look again for a replacement.  Keep going though, because when you find the truly high quality assistant, it is golden!

3.  Find the business model for you

If you have followed me for a while, you will know there are 2 business models above all else that I recommend.  But there are of course others that may suit you better.  The 2 I strongly and frequently endorse are:

• eCommerce – particularly through Amazon
• Local business SEO (providing SEO services to local business)

I’d place affiliate SEO a close 3rd behind local SEO, but local SEO has massive advantage in that it is both (generally) low competition to rank, and the need for these services are massive.

Next Steps with John and Chris

If there is one thing, we are consistent.  We have consistently worked in those above areas.  We are not fly by night guys jumping from bandwagon to bandwagon.  When my nearest and dearest ask me what they should do, I give them the same advice I give you.  And the success of my 2 young sons is testament to the possibilities.

Here is the first piece of “break through in 2021” information for you.  I want you to duplicate (or even better) the big win me, Chris and our partner Gustav have had with ecommerce.

You see, it is incredible what the modern internet allows you and me to do from our kitchen table. You or I can make more than a normal wage in our spare time at home.  Just like my 2 sons have done – they have more in their spare time as teenagers / students than many working adults.
